RUNAWAYS Roblox Best Tools Tier List
Equip what actually finishes runs — not just what looks loud.
Tools are how RUNAWAYS turns intention into action. This tier list ranks loadout pieces by how well they support robbery, vault breaches, police disengages, and border finishes during beta.
S-tier — run enablers
- Primary vault breaker — anything that opens high-value doors without endless punching.
- Compact mobility kit — items that keep slides (C) and escapes clean.
- Reliable sidearm with sane reload — win peeks, then disengage (Guns and Combat).
S-tier items earn their slot every life.
A-tier — strong situational
- Heavier breach tools for crew vaults
- Utility that speeds pawn loops
- Attachments (Q) that stabilize handling without wrecking ADS feel
Great when the plan is clear; optional when you are still learning How to Rob and Pawn.
B-tier — flexible fillers
- Early-game fists/basic breakers
- Loud novelty weapons that are fun but hot
- Niche tools that shine on one map pocket only
C-tier — bag traps
- Ultra-heavy trophies with weak cashout
- Duplicate tools that steal inventory slots (F)
- Empty flex items you refuse to drop (X)
Building around the list
Pair S/A tools with loot rules from Loot Priority and full kits in Escape Loadouts. Practice equip swaps (E) so the right tool is ready before the door, not after the siren.

Evaluating a new tool in five lives
Life 1: equip only the new tool beside a known kit. Life 2: force a pawn loop using it. Life 3: attempt one vault abort. Life 4: survive one chase. Life 5: border scout. If it did not help at least two lives, it is not S-tier for you yet. Personal tiers can differ from the page when your server conditions differ.
Noise budget
Every tool has a noise budget. Spend it on vault doors, not on petty props you could punch. Players who go loud early spend the rest of the life sliding. Players who save noise for the objective keep police as a late tax instead of an opening boss.
Swap hygiene
Before you crown a tool, confirm you can equip it under pressure without opening the wrong slot. Mis-swaps are user error, not balance error. Practice with Controls Cheatsheet until E is boring.
Crew versus solo scoring
Crews may promote heavier breach tools into S. Solos may demote them to A because lookout duty does not exist. Annotate your notes with “solo” or “crew” so you do not fight yourself later.
Anti-features to watch
Tools that obscure vision, lock you into long animations, or prevent sliding mid-animation lose ranks even if damage looks impressive. Animation locks are hidden taxes during police waves. Prefer cancellable actions. Prefer short equip times. Prefer clarity. When two breakers seem equal, pick the one that returns camera control faster after the boom.
Extended notes for best-tools
Return to this section after a wipe streak. Re-read slowly, then play one intentional life that only tests the ideas above. Do not stack vaults, borders, and experiments in the same life while learning. Isolation makes feedback obvious. When the isolated life succeeds, reintegrate the habit into your full RUNAWAYS loop with help from Guides Hub, Tier List Hub, and Tools Hub. Tool tiers shift in early access, so re-test rankings after patches on Beta Notes. Keep a breaker, mobility option, and optional sidearm — then prove the kit on a short rob and pawn loop before a vault.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for RUNAWAYS heists, escapes, and gear.
Should beginners buy S-tier first?
Prioritize a basic breaker and mobility. Flashy S-tier guns can wait.
Do codes change tiers?
Free tools can skip grind — see Active Codes — but skill still matters.
Where do attachments fit?
Q-attach mods that stabilize your main gun without slowing reloads.
