RUNAWAYS Roblox Getting Started in RUNAWAYS

First-session checklist for the rob → pawn → vault → escape fantasy.

Getting Started

Welcome to RUNAWAYS [beta] by supercat games. This Roblox Action open-world experience throws you into a guilty fantasy: steal valuables, pawn them for cash, crack vaults when you are ready, outrun police, and reach the border before the city wins. Servers support up to 50 players, characters use R6, and early access means systems can shift — so this guide teaches durable habits instead of fragile patch trivia.

If you only read one page tonight, make it this one. Then drill Controls until the bindings are boring.

The fantasy loop in one minute

  1. Rob loot from the streets and interiors you can safely clear.
  2. Pawn for cash before your bag becomes a walking advertisement.
  3. Blow open vaults only when tools, space, and an exit plan exist.
  4. Outrun police using movement and drop discipline — not endless gunfights.
  5. Reach the border when the kit and heat level say go.

Everything else on this wiki supports that loop: How to Rob and Pawn, How to Crack Vaults, How to Escape Police, and How to Reach the Border.

First ten minutes checklist

  1. Launch only from the official RUNAWAYS place.
  2. Confirm Click/Touch punches or swings a tool.
  3. Practice E equip/drag on a safe prop.
  4. Open F inventory and close it without panicking.
  5. Drop something with X so the key becomes reflex.
  6. Try C crouch/slide in an alley.
  7. If you find a gun later, reload with R behind cover and attach with Q before fights — never mid-chase.

Mindset for a 50-player beta

You will share streets with greedy strangers. Contested pawn lines, stolen vaults, and sudden heat are normal. Treat other players as weather: sometimes helpful crew energy, sometimes a tornado. Your job is logistics under pressure, not winning a fair duel every time.

Early access also means UI labels can move. When something feels broken after a patch, skim Beta Notes before inventing conspiracy theories.

Session plan for beginners (45–60 minutes)

Phase A — bindings warm-up (5 minutes)

Stay near a quiet block. Cycle equip, drop, inventory, slide. If mobile, confirm your thumbs are not covering critical HUD buttons. Details live in Controls.

Phase B — short robbery loops (20 minutes)

Steal tight bundles, not museums. Prefer compact value. Use Loot Priority thinking even before you memorize letter grades: if it is bulky and middling, pawn it early. Full walkthrough: How to Rob and Pawn.

Phase C — first serious pawn (10 minutes)

Convert loot to cash before you get romantic about a vault. Buy or keep tools that match Best Tools roles (breaker + mobility + optional sidearm). Bag handling deep dive: Inventory Tools.

Phase D — optional vault (10 minutes)

Only if you have a breaker, free slots, and a planned exit. Read How to Crack Vaults first. Abort if sirens are already stacked.

Phase E — escape practice (10 minutes)

Even without a border attempt, practice breaking line of sight with C and dumping C-tier junk with X. Guide: How to Escape Police.

Phase F — border only if honest

Run the Escape Checklist. If any box fails, keep farming. When it passes, follow How to Reach the Border with an Escape Loadout.

What not to do on night one

  • Do not wait on Active Codes — none are verified yet.
  • Do not download random scripts; empty lists beat malware.
  • Do not bring three guns and zero inventory space.
  • Do not reload in the open doorway after a vault boom.
  • Do not push the border “because the crew said go” while your bag is a garage sale.

How Guides siblings connect

Read siblings in this order when you have more time:

  1. This page — orientation
  2. Controls — input mastery
  3. How to Rob and Pawn — economy
  4. How to Crack Vaults — spike risk
  5. How to Escape Police — survival
  6. How to Reach the Border — win condition

Cross-link them whenever a section mentions the next skill. The Guides Hub index lives at Guides.

Honest limits

We will not invent landmark coordinates, fictional YouTube IDs, or guaranteed border routes that ignore server chaos. Advice here matches the published fantasy and the controls listed on the experience. Re-test after updates.

Finish your first session with one clean pawn loop and one clean disengage. Vaults and borders can wait until those two skills feel cheap. Escape is the point — not dying famous with a full bag.
