RUNAWAYS Roblox Guns and Combat Guide
Fire to create space — not to win every street argument.
Combat in RUNAWAYS is a means to escape, not an arena leaderboard. This guide covers guns, reloads, attachments, and disengage timing for the Roblox beta.
When to shoot
- An officer or player hard-blocks your only exit
- A vault lookout needs a quick peel
- You already planned cover for the reload
Do not spray in open pawn lines; noise is currency you cannot afford.
Reload discipline (R)
Reload only behind hard cover. Doorway reloads after breaches are classic wipes (How to Crack Vaults). Count shots mentally so R is proactive, not panicked.
Attachments (Q)
Attach before the district heats up. Mid-chase attach menus are death. Prefer mods that stabilize your escape sidearm without wrecking ADS speed.
Movement pairing
Slide (C) between peeks. Equip (E) the gun only when needed; otherwise keep a mobility tool ready. Drop (X) if the gun is the reason heat will not drop during police escapes.
Loadout fits
See Escape Loadouts and Best Tools. Pair with inventory rules in Inventory and Tools.

Scenario cards
Loot contest in an alley: Prefer punch or a quick tool action. Drawing a gun advertises the pile to half the server and may pull police onto a fight you did not need.
Vault third party: One watcher holds angles while the bagger grabs S-tier loot. If the watcher starts a long duel, the bagger should leave anyway — see How to Crack Vaults.
Border blocker: Fire to create a lane, then immediately return to movement with C. Do not stay to “finish” them unless your checklist already failed and you are aborting.
Empty mag panic: Drop the ego, slide to cover, reload (R), or simply flee. Empty-mag pride ends more border runs than empty wallets.
Ammo and attention economy
Every magazine is also an attention budget. The more you shoot, the more the map looks at you. Pair firearm choices with Best Tools so you are not hauling a loud kit you never intended to use on a lean escape day.
Practice the disengage drill weekly: one burst, two slides, one corner, inventory closed. That drill belongs beside How to Escape Police as muscle memory, not theory.
Peek geometry
Clear one angle at a time. Wide swings into streets create highlight deaths. Slide into a peek, take one shot opportunity, slide out, reload behind cover. That rhythm beats spray-and-pray in a game that taxes noise.
Ammo as calm
Count to a reload before you are empty. Empty magazines turn confident runners into frozen targets. Attachments that help recoil are useless if you never reload on time.
Choosing not to finish a kill
If an opponent is down but the bag is heavy and the border is close, leave. Finished escapes outrank finished kill feeds. This is the hardest combat lesson and the most valuable.
Training partners
Ask a friend to chase you with fists while you practice slide peeks without shooting. Add guns only after movement works. Movement is the real gun stat in RUNAWAYS.
Case study: the doorway duel
A vault exit becomes a duel. You win the first shot, then reload in the frame of the door, then lose the bag to the second officer. The lesson is geometric: winning shots must be paired with a planned reload tile two meters deeper into cover. Mark that tile before the breach. Combat planning is route planning wearing a louder costume. Study How to Crack Vaults alongside this page so your gunfights have exits.
Extended notes for guns-combat
Return to this section after a wipe streak. Re-read slowly, then play one intentional life that only tests the ideas above. Do not stack vaults, borders, and experiments in the same life while learning. Isolation makes feedback obvious. When the isolated life succeeds, reintegrate the habit into your full RUNAWAYS loop with help from Guides Hub, Tier List Hub, and Tools Hub. Gunfights in RUNAWAYS only matter when they buy you space to pawn or reach the border. Practice reload timing with R, attach before the chase with Q, and leave pride fights that empty your bag for nothing. Pair this page with How to Escape Police and Escape Loadouts before your next contested night.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for RUNAWAYS heists, escapes, and gear.
Is melee enough?
Early yes. Later, a sidearm helps peeks.
Should I chase kills?
No. Every duel risks the bag.
Best practice map?
Quiet alleys near pawn routes — not vault doorways.
